This is with reference to the editorial, "Six nightclubs sealed…… - The Goan Everyday - December 17, 2025." Informative editorial. Good to know that the authorities have sealed six nightclubs for several deficiencies, in the wake of the Arpora nightclub tragedy. Well, it seems like this is the standard response of the authorities everywhere. They swing into action only when such tragedies happen. One would like to ask, what were they doing all along. Were they not aware that these nightclubs were functioning without fulfilling all the guidelines? The Luthra brothers have been brought back to India for prosecution. How about those responsible for permitting such outfits to function without meeting all mandatory requirements? Are they also not liable for prosecution? And this holds good for such situations all across the country.
