Before counting day, there was a lot of hype of the NDA alliance doing very well and crossing the 400 mark. The oft repeated slogan was 'Ab ki baar 400 parr'. The various exit polls sang the same tune. The INDIA bloc was hardly given any chance. They all went wrong. Except for one exit poll, all others were in favor of the NDA alliance overwhelming the INDI alliance. But the actual results were quite to the contrary. All this has put a dent on the credibility of exit polls.The INDIA bloc has done exceedingly well and beyond expectations of many. NDA was speaking of 400 plus while INDIA bloc had set 295 as the target. The mature Indian voters have kept both the alliances in good humour. In the ultimate analysis, India will get a vibrant opposition. This is the essence of a true democracy. Indian democracy has won. It has not been a one-sided result as was the case in 2014 and 2019. With a strong opposition the country is on the way to glory keeping the aspirations of the citizens in mind.
