This is with reference to the report, "Tourist murders 4-year-old boy at Sinquerim hotel - The Goan Everyday - January 9, 2024." Such a gruesome act. The killing of a 4-year-old boy by a woman in a Goa hotel sounds real sick. What is happening to people. Is man losing his sanity, has he lost it completely? It seems like one's conscience is dead. How else does one explain, only a woman who can give birth to a human being could be so brutal and actually kill the very life she brings into the world? No matter what the motive behind killing that child, the woman must be appropriately punished for her misdeed. No matter whose child that 4-year-old must have been, we need to sit up and think. We need to look at preventing such incidents in future, through counselling perhaps.
