‘Double engine growth’ but common man still suffers

Common man's woes are overwhelming and rising by the day, economically. We have to overcome and tackle runaway inflation, and manoeuvre through a host of issues unresolved by lawmakers for decades, by improving our structured financial systems. We have to uplift cleanliness to global standards, be it civic issues like mounting garbage accumulations, storage, and disposals.

Hike in power and water tariffs which are unwarranted without genuine justifications, compounded by ever-increasing inflationary cost hikes of all edibles and food products. The unabated spate of deadly accidents, precious lives snuffed out. A double-engine sarkar should be more proactive in curbing accidents and in the day-to-day needs of the common man who faces the economic brunt and to keep a check as to why and when the prices keep rising.

GST, VAT are directly linked with government budgetary forces, little within the power of the lower subordinate officers who just oblige with a nod to the higher-ups and seats of power.

Most of the time at regular intervals bouts of hikes on GST, VAT, and excise are related to predominant pressure from the government adding to inflationary price rises. The cost of petrol, diesel, liquefied gas, and other fuels keeps soaring higher, leading to a cascading effect on higher costs of all items. External debt burden per capita should be effectively controlled and eased so that liquidity is allowed to factor in the life of a common man.
