PANAJI: Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) Rural Tourism Council Goa is organising a seminar and competition titled ‘Magic of Millets’ for Rural Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) in Goa, as a joint initiative with Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission (GSRLM) and Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera on April 19 at Directorate of Art and Culture at Patto-Panjim at 10.30 am.
Mini Ribeiro, state President, WICCI Rural Tourism Council Goa stated that the aim of ‘Magic and Millets’ is to spread awareness about the importance of millets in our daily diet and to encourage more women to cook using these at home.
The sessions would include ‘The importance of millets in our diet’ by Sunetra Talaulikar, ICAR- KVK, North Goa and ‘My journey as an entrepreneur working with millets’ by Sucheta Bhandare, founder, Earth Poorna.
