The RSS's stand on Muslims and MS Golwalkar's controversial views on Muslims and Christians has been disowned by RSS. The word Hindu was originally used to refer to the people who reside around the river Sindhu (Indus). It is like referring to people from Arabia as Arabs, which nobody can change. Hinduism cannot be only defined as a religion. But some political parties object to it without any valid reason but as pre-poll tactics. I was taken aback by Mohan Bhagwat praising Congress's role in freedom struggle when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is criticizing Congress rule saying nothing has been done by Congress as if everything has been fine in his five and a half years' rule. Everyone knows the kind of hatred that RSS leaders have towards the Gandhi family and the Congress. People at the helm of the RSS have some plan in mind for the 2022 Assembly elections in various states, maybe due to anti -incumbency, and all this is a part of that. But most people can see through their plan, and it is not going to work. The RSS has always had a divisive agenda and that will remain forever.
