There is a perennial, foul and nauseating smell outside South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) on the outskirts of Margao. The unbearable stench even penetrates cars with their windows closed, and one can imagine the plight of students at the nearby Presentation School. The local MLA lives in the vicinity, but nothing seems to be moving to address the problem. The netas and bureaucrats travel along this road every day, but it appears that even this foul smell has had no effect on their nostrils.
