Rapes have become very common in our country, but the current trend of mobs openly molesting minors is very disturbing. It is also giving the country a bad name, leaving the diaspora ashamed and exposed to taunts. Crimes against minors must never be countenanced. However, the law and the enforcing authorities appear totally helpless. There is an unwritten rule of encountering goons, as a last resort. They are summarily encountered and their residence bulldozed. I think, the time has come to tacitly extend the treatment to rapists. It may be harsh but enough is enough.
