The Central Government had introduced and implemented Ujjwala scheme to uplift the condition of downtrodden but the Goa government has diluted it for giving benefit to everybody. As per the reports LPG/CNG connection will get transfer of Rs 3,000 in respective bank accounts per connection. Disbursement is being done in a hurried manner as it seems machinery is all set to receive applications and make transfers the very next day. Even one not consuming three cylinders yet will get the amount transferred, as there is no requirement of consumption. This appears to be pre-election bonzana for luring the public to vote for incumbent regime in forthcoming elections but are unlikely to convert into votes as there is a particular section in forefront as seen from tremendous rush, but will vote as per their fixed mindset. In this process the needy who really deserve cylinders will get sidelined /deprived and others will enjoy it. It is hoped proper checks and controls are enforced so the scheme is not misused.
