Rather than debating on social media, the real question is: Will most Goan NRIs return home to vote in the upcoming Assembly elections? Our beloved Goa faces threats from reckless politics that have damaged its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty, turning it into a concrete jungle.
Today, outsiders outnumber locals as many villas, housing societies, and flats have been built, and people from across India now call Goa home, working and raising their families here. This trend worsened with many Goans giving up their Indian citizenship and voting rights. Empty rhetoric won’t save Goa. Only by coming back and voting for the right candidates can Goans protect their homeland’s future. We Goans should give up our Mhaka Kiteak Poddla" (Why should I care?) attitude and stand for the love and interest of Goa.
