U2 - Songs of Experience
While fans of the band were hoping that their upcoming album would be out sometime this year, they have had to postpone their excitement. Songs of Experience which is a follow up to 2014 Songs of Innocence will however come out in 2017 confirmed Bono and company who have reportedly written 50 new tunes for it. In a teaser video posted as part of their Christmas wish the singer stated, "Next year's going to be a big year for the U2 group. We have Songs of Experience coming and, to honour 30 years of The Joshua Tree, we have some very, very special shows coming. Very special."
Nelly Furtado - The Ride
After almost five years, Nelly Furtado is all set to return with her sixth studio collection The Ride on March 31, 2017, which will be released through her own imprint Nelstar Entertainment. It will feature Nelly's recent track 'Pipe Dreams', which was released earlier this year. Other tunes that will feature on her album include “Phoenix,” Paris Sun and Flatline. “These songs are more poetic than I’ve been in the past,” she revealed about the upcoming album.
Michelle Branch -Hopeless Romantic
The Everywhere singer met up with Black Keys’ Patrick Carney at a Grammys party in 2015 follwoing which she hit the studio with him to work on her fourth LP. The album is said to have a laid back rock and roll sound with deeply personal lyrics inspired by her 2015 divorce and her buydding romance with Carney. “The lust, the love, the heartbreak,” she says. “It’s all there.”
Major Lazer - Music Is The Weapon
Slated for January 2017, 'Music Is The Weapon' is the follow up to 2015's 'Peace Is the Mission' and will include the Vodafone Big Top 40 chart-smash 'Cold Water', which features vocals from Justin Bieber.
Little Big Town -The Breaker
After making waves with their track Better Man which was written by Taylor Swift , the Grammy winning group is all set to debut their new album in February 24 . After their detour into the pop world with the Pharrell-produced Wanderlust The Breaker will see them reviving their more homespun country sound. To record the album, the band took over a converted Nasville church and put out their tunes in a live setting. The album will include tunes like “Drivin’ Around and “Beat Up Bible,” apart from “Better Man.”
Fergie - Double Dutchess
While there is no news yet as to the exact date of the release with her dance single Life goes on already out and making waves it is safe to say that her upcoming album Double Dutchess is sure to drop soon, her first full-length since her solo debut The Dutchess in 2006. In fact the singer took to Instagram recently to apologise to fans for the long wait. “I’ve turned it in, it’s done, and it’s coming out beginning of the year, and I’m sorry it’s taken so long,” she said.
Stevie Wonder- Through the Eyes of Wonder
His collaboration with Ariana Grande recently has received wide appreciation and his new album Through the Eyes of Wonder is not far behind. The upcoming album will be his first since 2005's A Time to Love. The musician has promised that it will feature some new great singers in it.
Shania Twain
Country singer Shania Twain is all set to make a comeback after 14 long years with her new album releasing in Spring 2017. While the album title hasn't been revealed as yet, the singer describes her new music as “painful and melancholy ballads that evolved into completely upbeat songs.” The album isn’t all painful, though. She says she’ll have many triumphant girl-power songs.
