My grandma passed on her love for cooking to me. I've always loved putting together ingredients. As a kid I'd do it with play dough and now with real veggies, I can enhance my family's traditional recipes with a modern touch. Summer vacation lets me utilize all my energy into this passion. My motivation is the empty plates and the satisfied smiles.

I started photography 2 years ago. My sister had this small basic point and shoot camera and I used to go around my mom's garden clicking pictures of birds, flowers and whatever else seemed interesting to me. As a science student, I only had the summers to pursue this interest. Photography may have started as a hobby but I plan on turning it into a profession someday. Photography is not about the equipment you own or how expensive it is. It's all about making the best of the photography equipment you own. Photography is about seeing what others don't see and yes I call my lens 'my third eye'.

I got introduced to art as a toddler, but as I got older, I discovered that drawing and painting was not everything. I got introduced to paper quilling, punchcraft, parchment and calligraphy. I use my summers to learn more about these kinds of art, the different styles, designs, etc and I totally love it.

Holidays for me equals to basketball, which is more than just a sport. There's a lot to learn from it: discipline, team work, one's strengths and weaknesses, stress buster, etc. And all these are useful off court as well, in life. It is very easy for me to lose track of time while playing it. With more free time now, I spend most of my mornings playing the sport or simply practicing it. Basketball is kind of a therapy. It's a great way to stay fit.

I hate sitting idle during the holidays. But since, I've already done an internship in print media, I want to learn how broadcast media works. So, I intend to take up an internship with a news agency. Media is an amazing field. So yes, That would be how I plan on spending my holidays.

Since I'm pursuing my BBA, we are supposed to do an internships during the holidays. That leaves me with very little time for my hobbies. If I had more time, however, I would have loved to pursue other interests like learning another instrument besides the tabla or learning a new language.
