In a first of its kind, the migrants and local residents of Socorro came together to celebrate a multicultural Easter, Sunday evening. Organised by the Socorro Socio-Art and Cultural Committee, the natives of Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Karnataka, Bihar, Bengal and Assam who have chosen to settle in the village were the focus of the celebration and the evening featured popular cuisine and dance from these states.
