In a bid to bring together all the Saraswats spread across India, the All India Saraswat Cultural Organisation (AISCO) in association with the Goa Saraswat Samaj and Tiswadi Saraswat Samaj organised a 2-day All India Saraswat Sammelan at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Taleigao.
The two-day event saw eminent people from the community delivering talks on various subjects.
The sammelan, held after a gap of 15 years, highlighted the distinct Saraswat identity offered a glimpse of a fascinating variety of Saraswat arts including folk arts, theatre, music and cultural programmes of every kind.
