Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula emerged winners at the recent 8th Children's Tiatr Competition held at Ravindra Bhavan. The tiatr Award written and directed by Antonet De Souza and presented by Our Lady of the Rosary High School, Dona Paula won the first place.
Mhojea Mamachea Ganvant written, directed and presented by Marcos Gonsalves, Raia and Dhol Baye Dhol written and directed by Michael Gracias and presented by Kala Niketan (Goa) bagged the second and third place respectively. The competition was judged by well-known theatre personalities Socorro Fernandes (Socorro de St. Cruz), Priti Lotlikar and Pradeep Vernekar.
Tiatrist Sharon Mazarello was the chief guest for the awards ceremony which also saw the staging of a Konkani musical show by selected singers amongst the participating troupes of the competition. The live band was provided by Nolvert Cota. Altogether nine tiatrs were staged by different institutions/cultural groups and individuals.
