Biggest Emmy snubs

Biggest Emmy snubs
Captured by : pg 2- lead

TV's biggest night is almost here. The Emmys 2016 is all set to take place on September 18 and will be hosted by funny man Jimmy Kimmel, who will be taking the reigns for the second time. With HBO hit show Game of Thrones having already swept the Creative Arts Emmys last weekend, the show is expected to continue it's lucky run yet again at the glittering awards show. And while there have been quite a few deserving nominations that have made the list with quite a few debut nominations including Tom Hiddleston, Kit Harrington and Aziz Ansari, there have been quite a few glaring omissions from the list too. Here's a look at some of names that deserved to be on the list

Julianna Margulies, The Good Wife

Fans bid a tearfulfarwell to this epic show recently. And though there has been plenty of talk about a spin off TV show it is only fair to stay that no spin off will be as good as this one was. However despite cleaning up at the Emmy's in her role as Alicia Florrick when she first took it up with two wins and and four nominations in the last six years, Julianna hasn't got a single one in the last couple of years despite her outstanding work.

Michelle Dockery, Downton Abbey

Downtown Abbey continues it's succesful run at the Emmy's for the sixth year straight but barring Maggie Smith, none of the stars from the show have earned a single nomination. And Michelle Dockery who plays Lady Crawley and who is pretty much one of the central characters of the show has singularly been unlucky having yet to receive an Emmy nomination. She will however have to wait for another TV show to get a chance as the popular show came to an end last year.

Sophie Turner, Game of Thrones

Fans were outraged when it was weas made known that barring Sophie Turner all the other important characters on the show had made it to the Emmy nomination list. What made the snub even more brutal was the fact that the last season saw the actress who plays Sansa Stark have a very important role to play in the TV drama. However the actress gracefull accepted her fate while wishing her other costars all the best on Twitter.

Rachel Bloom, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Everyone’s favorite ex also missed out on a nomination at at this year’s Emmy awards. While Bloom’s performance as the lovably eccentric (and very musical) Rebecca Bunch was good enough to garner a Golden Globe win, the academy did not feel the same way.

Jussie Smollett, Empire

Jussie Smollett who has put on a fine act as a not-so favorite son Jamal Lyons who struggles a the gay son of a homophobic father, was also left out of the list when the 2016 Emmy nominations were announced.

Jim Parsons, The Big Bang Theory

It's the nerdy comedy that nobody can ever tire off. However despite four previous wins and six total nominations for his work, Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon Cooper in the Big Bang Theory was also left out of the Emmys nomination list this year. The actor had an unsuccessful year last time too with his name left of the list again.

Christian Slater, Mr. Robot

The show be itself has ben doing well at the Emmy Wards so far receiving six nominations in total with lead actor Rami Malek also featuring in the lead actor category. However Christian Slater’ act as a cyber revolutionist hell bent on taking down the biggest corporations in the world wasn't enough to garner a nomination in a supporting role.

Director: Clint EastwoodCast : Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney & Anna Gunn By Ervell E. Menezes This reviewer has always felt that veteran Clint Eastwood is a better director than actor and “Dirty Harry” (1971) was may be the first I’ve seen as an actor. But as director he has “Play Misty For Me”(1971), “Unforgiven”(1992) “Mystic River”(2003) “Million Dollar Baby” (2004) and most recently “American Sniper”(2014)and they are all four starrers or more. “Sully” is the…
