On World Dance Day Kala Academy Goa in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhalim presented a unique show “ a Kathak Lavani Jugalbandi performed by artistes of Lokrang Sanskritik Manch, Mumbai.
Separated by two states, Kathak from Uttar Pradesh and Lavani from Maharashtra have many things in common, but while one is rustic, the other has a classical touch. The jugalbandi performance brought out similarities of these two graceful dance styles.
