The Department of English, Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao organized the ninth edition of the intercollegiate literary festival Pegasus recently on the theme Comic Studies. This year the Pegasus Laureate went to Nadia De Souza from St. Xaviers College while Yashila Lobo from Goa University was the runner up. Goa University, Department of English were the overall victors while St. Xavier’s, Mapusa and M.E.S. College, Vasco secured second and third position. The festival also saw the launch of the first ever all Goa Cosplay Competition which was judged by Alexyz, Goa’s renowned cartoonist; Verma D’mello, Goa’s foremost fashion designer and Brijesh Kakodkar, upcoming actor, co-founder of Narad Films and co-founder of Cosplayers Goa. Diksha Singh as Poison Ivy emerged winner while Krishen Cotta (Orochimaru) and Aaron Rodrigues ( Spawn) won second and third place. A special prize went to nine year old Klenzy Cotta who played Kikyo from the manga InuYasha.
