In keeping with the world wide celebrations of Earth Day, Cidade de Goa started off their day by organizing their morning meeting on the lawns. A spread of delicacies made from locally sourced ingredients was prepared and served at Laranja while Mr. Rajasekar S and his team created a display of recycled and reused elements, with the message ‘Reuse, Recycle and Reduce’.
Earth day posters were put up across the resort to educate guests and staff. In-house guests were given souvenirs at the time of check in and check out. An Earth day awareness video called “Home” by Yann Arthus Bertrand was screened at the resort and the staff cafeteria in order to spread the green message. A one-hour long power shutdown was observed at the Resort to show support to the Earth Day initiative.
Cidade de Goa also undertakes various energy saving practices through out the year including harnessing of solar energy, recycling of waste, use of energy efficient lighting, etc.
