The game's afoot for Johnny Depp, who has joined the vocal cast of the forthcoming Gnomeo and Juliet sequel as detective Sherlock Gnomes. The actor joins returning stars James McAvoy and Emily Blunt in the animated sequel, which is due for release in 2018. Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes follows the ornamental detective as he joins forces with the cast of the original film to investigate a wave of gnome disappearances from England's suburban gardens. The John Stevenson-directed sequel will also feature a soundtrack by Elton John.
