Chloe Grace Moretz recently decided to pull out of all her movies stating that she had realised that she could slow down. Chloe began her acting career at the age of 7 and has since acted in about 55 films. The actress who then went on to share a picture of herself and as a child side by side on Instagram is only of the many noted celebrities who achieved fame at a very young age. Here's a look at some other actors who started out early and their struggle to deal with it
Drew Barrymore
The actress who charmed the hearts of viewers at the age of six when she appeared in Steven Spielberg's beloved sci-fi blockbuster, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) was regularly drinking and doing cocaine by 11 and later entered rehab at age 14. The actress has been pretty vocal that she doesn't want her children to have the kind of childhood as she did. "I had such an exposed childhood. I appreciate my journey, but I don't want that for my kid. Not any of it. It has nothing to do with whether I liked my childhood. I really did. But as a parent, that isn't the childhood I'd provide."
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan evidently didn't have it easy while dealing with all the attention seeing her arrested on multiple occasions. In May of 2015, a judge ended Lohan’s probation after she completed the community service that resulted from her 2012 reckless driving, making it the first time in nearly eight years that she was probation free. The aatress has has been very open about admitting that she made a few mistakes along the way. “It was very go-go-go and I had a lot of responsibility, and I think just the second I didn't have [structure] anymore ” I was 18, 19 ” with a ton of money and no one really here to tell me that I couldn't do certain things . . . and I see where that's gotten me now, and I don't like it,” she said.
Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes gained popularity as a child star on the Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show and then went on to gain success in films like What a gilr wants and She's the Man. However, the leap from a child TV star to movie star wasn't an easy one. In 2012, she was involved in a number of car crashes, got a DUI, went on a now infamous Twitter tirade and was arrested for marijuana possession.
Aaron Carter
Backstreet Boy Nick Carter’s younger bro Aaron, got his first record deal when he was just 10 years old. But fame was too much for him, and he wound up becoming addicted to prescription pills to help cope with his stage fright. Forced into rehab by his mother and brother, Carter has cleaned himself up, but went up to file for bankruptcy to rid himself of over 2.5 million dollars’ worth of debt.
Britney Spears
The singer who is enjoying her time in the spotlight with her recently released album Glory, didn't have it easy either. A regular on the TV show “The Mickey Mouse Club”, at the age of 11, she then went on to sign a deal with Jive Records, who released her first single “….Baby One More Time” in 1998. Things quickly spiralled out of control with a quickie wedding, a few stints in rehab and one head-shaving incident. The singer who is not a mother of two now seems to hve settled down pretty well.
Demi Lovato
At age seven, Lovato was cast alongside Selena Gomez in Barney and Friends. She went on to star in the Disney hit Camp Rock, and eventually released her own album and embarked on a world tour with The Jonas Brothers. During the tour, Lovato began using cocaine and admitted she couldn’t go an hour without it. Lovato checked herself into rehab in 2010, and was treated for drugs, alcohol, bulimia and self-mutilation. Luckily, Lovato emerged sober and is trying to help other young people who struggle with the same issues.
