Disney Channel is all set to bring back Hannah Montana next month. The show which will will air from December 3 to 29 brought Miley Cyrus into the limelight for the first time. Here's a look at some other former Disney stars

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez first rose to fame during her tenure on The Wizards of Waverly Palace and then went on to star in a number of disney movies like Princess Protection Program, The Wizard Returns: Alex vs Alex and Another Cinderella Story. She then turned her attention to music and released her first solo album in 2013. She has since come out with some hit songs like What the Heart Wants and Hands to Myself. Although she recently took a break from it all and checked into rehab, the latest buzz is that she could return to the stage for the upcoming AMA awards on November 20.

Demi Lovato

Demi first appeared on the TV series As the Bell Rings following which she scored the lead in Camp Rock and Sunny with a Chance. With music film Camp Rock which she did with Joe Jonas doing well, Demi decided to focus on her music and released her first album Don't Forget following which she joined The Jonas brothers on tour. However after battling a number of issues like anorexia, bulimia and self-harm, Demi has emerged stronger and become quite the music superstar.

The trio of Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas had been on the music scene for a year before Kevin and Joe made their acting debut in Camp Rock. After appearing on the show Hannah Montana, they got their own show titled Jonas which ran for two seasons and fetched them plenty of recognition. Although the band broke up, they continue to make music individually. While Nick has gone solo, Joe has a new band called DNCE.

Ashley Tisdale

Although she became popular for her role as the snooty Sharpay from High School Musical, Asley Tisdale first made her appearance on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody. However, recently the actress has used her knowledge of the business to help produce former disney star Emily Osmet's new show Young and Hungry.

Anne Hathaway

She has come along way from Disney but Anne Hathaway who has since starred in movies like Brokeback Mountain and Les Miserables first became a phenomenon after landing the lead role of Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries in 2001 which won her The Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress “ Comedy.

Hillary Duff

Hillary got her start in Disney with the hit television show Lizzie McGuire in 2001. After the three year tenure she went on to star in a number of Disney movies including Lizzie McGuire and Cadet Kelly. She then took a break from the acting world to focus on her music and has given some hit songs like Someone's Watching Over Me, Fly and the recent track Sparks.

Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf first achieved fame as Louis Stevens on the Disney show Even Stevens. However the actor has come a long way since his Disney days.He has acted in films like Transformers and Fury and even turned director for a few short films like Let's Love Hate and Maniac. However the actor has been one of the many stars who has sort of fallen apart over the years.

Lindsay Lohan

One more star whose glory days seem to be behind her for good. And although the actress seems quite eager to be cast in the role for the upcoming live action film Little Mermaid after posting about the same on her Instagram page and even dyeing her hair red, it is more common to see her name crop up only when there is some controversy or the other these days.
