With Ian Somerhalder recently announcing that season eight would be the last for The Vampire Diaries, speculation about Nina Dobrev returning for the finale began. Since Dobrev's character, Elena was put under a sleeping spell which linked her to Bonnie, fans wondered if they would ever seen Elena again, as she's one of the show's pivotal characters. And now it looks like she could be returning after all. "When the show ends Nina will be a part of it some way shape or form,” a source said. “She is 10,000 percent coming back.”
