Ellie Goulding was "in tears" after her performance at this year's MTV European Music Awards - because of critical comments on Twitter. "I'm not a conventional pop singer; my music isn't instant. And of course I then looked on Twitter and all I saw was a load of negative stuff and I got completely overwhelmed and was in tears,” she admitted. Goulding went on to say that her honesty is what makes her fans relate to her. "I always knew that if I wanted people to relate to my music, I couldn't lie about who I really was," she added.
