A World of My Own’ children’s art exhibition, curated by Chaitali Morajkar, ended in a celebratory spirit with parents, relatives and friends of the young artists coming together for the closing ceremony. The ceremony began with a walkthrough by curator Chaitali and all the artists along with the chief guests Dilip Borkar and MJF Lion Vasudev Valawalkar. The valedictorian ceremony started with a speech by Dr Subodh Kerkar and the chief guests on the importance of art in one’s lives. All the participating artists were given a certificate to recognise their efforts in creating a wonderful exhibition at MOG.
The exhibition was visited by over 600 students from schools and residential homes such as Green Meadows, El Shaddai Shelter and School, Sacred Heart Jesus etc. Each day was filled with workshops on art, craft, theatre and reading. Blandina Noronha (MOG Art Facilitator), Arundhati Chattopadhyaya (Theatre Artist), Sujata Noronha from Bookworm, Louise Tenbosch (trainer, Giant Dolls House), Victoria Filina (expert, children’s storybook writer) along with curator Chaitali who is also the founder of Paint Club Goa created a fun-learning environment for all the children.
