The 8th Popular Tiatr Competition is all set to kickstart from January 30, 3.30 pm onwards at Pai Tiatrist Auditorium, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, . The competition which will continue till February 15 will witness the participation of 12 troupes in all. Problem which has been written and directed by Alfredo Fernandes will open the competition on January 30 followed by ‘Anj Boddvo’ written and directed by Pascoal De Chicalim on January 31.‘Mafi Magtam’ by Comedian Domnic & His Troupe “ Ponda will be staged on February 1 and ‘Dhirvem’ by Merxechim Porzolith Kirnam, Merces on February 2. The competition will then continue on February 6 with Love is Blind presented by Menino Fernandes (De Bandar), Benaulim, ‘Achche Din Ayenghe? by Elvis Sequeira (Elvis Carmin), St. Cruz will follow on February 7 and ‘Goem Konn Samballtolo’ by Menezes Theatre, Chinchinim will be presented on February 8. ‘Maim-Paiche Bessanv' by Ace Comedian Production, San Jose De Areal (February 9), Portuguez Passport by Taleigao Dramatic Troupe, Taleigao (February 10), ‘Amdar’ by Machi Mogi Morjim, Pernem (February 13) ‘Vell by John D’Silva, St. Jose De Areal (February 14) and ‘Lifetime Award’ by Ambe Dramatic Troupe, Colva (February 15) are the other tiatrs in the competition. The prize distribution ceremony will be held on February 18 followed by Konkani Musical Show
