Ever since the state of Goa hosted its first International Film Festival of India in 2004, the art of film-making and film appreciation appears to have slipped into the DNA of Goans, especially youngsters.
The number of local films which have been produced in recent times is only testament to the fact that film-making has begun to capture popular imagination here. To promote just this thread of thought on ground, the Goa government’s Directorate of Art and Culture is organising a Film Production Workshop for children between the age group of 7 to 15 years during summer vacation under guidance of Dnyanesh Moghe, a well-known filmmaker in his own right.
At the workshop the participants will be made aware and guided about various aspects of film production (screen play writing, shooting, editing, etc) and film appreciation. The workshop will be held from April 18 to April 24 from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lecture Hall, at Sanskruti Bhavan, Panaji which is located at Patto. Those children who are interesting in signing up for this excellent opportunity should collect the form from office of Art and Culture Department during office hours.
