The ultimate game fantasy has finally materialised! Well not exactly materialised yet, but surely conceptualised and will be materialised by 2018. MARVEL has teamed up with Square-Enix to create Avengers story and video game and did so by dropping an awesome first trailer.
Games developer Square Enix this week revealed that it is working on a brand new Avengers video game series. The Avengers Project, as it is currently known, will feature a” completely original story” and have built a game "universe gamers could play in for years to come”. This news will surely please Marvel fans around the world who had already been let down when a previously planned Avengers game was cancelled a few years back.
The teaser trailer doesn’t show much, but what it shows is impressive, cast off gear from The Avengers lying amidst wreckage and rubble: Bruce Banner's glasses (I think), Thor's hammer, Iron Man's gauntlet, and Captain America's shield. It looks like things didn't go very well for them - perhaps the main character in The Avengers Project will be one of a new generation of heroes that rises up to rescue or replace them?
