Goans in the UAE witnessed the first ever Global Goan Konkani Talent contest ‘Goencho Tallo’ (Voice of Goa) 2019”, held in Abu Dhabi, recently at Sheraton, Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort, which also featured a galore of Goan music in a vibrant musical Goan party.
The event conceptualized by Conrad Caeiro, saw participants from UAE and beyond audition for the talent contest by a selected panel of musicians. Out of the 10 finalists selected to the grand final, Florinda Cardoz from Sharjah was adjudged winner while Aviella D’Souza from Dubai bagged the runner-up in a dazzling contest. Other Goan talent showcased at the event were Goa’s music maestros ‘Brothers in Arms’ led by Caetaninho Menezes, flown all the way from Goa especially for this event and Abu Dhabi‘s own Goan band ‘Sensations’, who mesmerized the crowd and left the crowd in awe with their magical performance. Konkani Cinema fame Ester Noronha who also flew in especially to launch her new Konkani movie trailer Kantaar.
The gathering also saw Goan talents Sanio Fernandes and ‘Friz Love’ entertain the crowd with their singing. DJ DAD, scratched some great dancing music. The event production was spearhead by Darin Fernandes and managed by Broadway Abu Dhabi. Moodsetters Boney Coelho and Conrad Caeiro hosted the show in true Goan spirit and hospitability and kept the crowd captivated until the event was concluded.
