Can science or technology go hand in hand with spirituality? This is a question that has been haunting mankind since ages. Trying to find an answer to this through his own exuberant example, Mudit Agrawaal has succeeded in fine tuning the two. Associated closely with Chinmay Mission as a child and deeply soaked in spirituality through practices of Yog and Dhyan, this young entrepreneur feels blessed to be able to balance these prime aspects of his life - work, travel and meditation.
When Mudit talks business, as a managing director of Advaitaa iTech, he sounds a thorough professional. Advaitaa iTech is a Goa based IT company offering CAMU - a software service that enables institutions to go digital with the classroom processes with teachers using ‘mobile apps' to perform daily activities. "We offer a unique combination of features addressing the needs of educational institutions and have 140 plus customers in five countries. Implemented in rural areas in India, CAMU is breaking all technology and cultural barriers. Ours is a multi-campus solution enabling standardisation and monitoring of teaching and administration processes across campuses," he shares.
Keeping a hectic schedule this 29-year youth shells out time for one more activity with the magic of his healing techniques. Through various alternative therapies like Reiki and Magnified Healing, Mudit tries to offer solace to people with medical conditions. A certified Reiki Grandmaster, Karuna Reiki Master, Magnified Healing Master and Prathna Dhyan Practitioner, Mudit does not wish to keep his knowledge to himself. He trains enthusiastic learners.
But what prompts people to opt for alternative treatments? "Alternate treatments, if taken with the regular treatment, aid in speedy recovery as they offer an instant, distant and faster healing process. Usually, those who are weary of lengthy, painful and tiring procedures to get well, usually opt for alternate healing techniques to help them recover in less time. While the regular modes of treatment look at the symptoms while suggesting medications, most alternative healing methods look at the human being at three levels - body, mind and intellect (BMI) all of which necessarily should be treated and cured," explains Mudit.
Mudit who has been undertaking Magnified Healing workshops in Goa, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi for quite some time now plans to offer training in Cosmic Healing from October-November 2017. "Cosmic healing is inclusive of all the healing modalities and one can avail the healing benefits of Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Magnified Healing etc. The students can learn the basics of meditation and different techniques of healing ‘self and others' around them," shares Mudit.
Is meditation required to learn these healing techniques? "Not necessary," Mudit is quick to add, "However, meditation trains your mind to be thoughtless which improves focus and productivity. As we go to gym to make our body fit, our mind also requires exercise to remain healthy. Since a human being comprises of BMI, we have to take into consideration all three of these concepts while healing him or her from inside out."
Meditation can be done with the aid of symbols, words, sounds, images, idols, chanting or breathing. Concentrating on any one of these helps retention of other thoughts and focuses our attention on one. Focussing on one object leads gradually to meditation. A human can learn to meditate at any age. Even a child can learn to meditate.
"Our material life and spiritual life should go hand in hand. Renunciation of material life in order to embrace spirituality is not necessary. Both can walk together and enhance the spectrum of life. Having first hand experiences of its benefits, I have continued meditation. Even today, I do at least one hour meditation, sometimes even more, as and when time permits. If I don't do it, the stressful situations take over. Meditation reduces the stress levels," he admits.
Doing a job with devotion, concentration and true spirit and taking it to perfection is also a kind of meditation. "It helps us look at life with a positive attitude. It also maintains our physical and psychological health. Meditation helps to conquer over the outer chaos and look inward for an eternal bliss," he mentions.
