#TGLIFE: What was it about fashion that moved you to take it seriously and make a career out of it?
Sukriti: It's been a part of us for very long. After a Masters in Styling from Marangoni, I came back to India and became a part of Style Cell. It's been over six years now. After graduating from Marangoni, Aakriti also started running a swimwear label. We knew that we could make a difference in the way people perceive Indian festive wear and we wanted to bring about a comfort festive line.

TG: How has your work evolved since you began your own label?
You start knowing what's working and what's not and become a better judge of the market and client taste. We are known for our classic styles thus that always remains a part of our collection with edgier contemporary wear every new season.

TG: What are you fascinated by at the moment?
Botanical prints from the Mughal era which are part of our collection.
TG: What are some rules that you abide with while working with fashion?
One needs to be out of the box, be creative and having a passion for what you do is the key! Also punctuality is priority.

TG: What do you consider the important facets of fashion industry?
Creativity, innovation, out of the box thinking, colour combination sense and a modern outlook

TG: How would you describe your personal style?
Relaxed, young and edgy .

TG: Being two individuals have you people come across any incident where there has been clash of ideas?
Being sisters that's always been a part of our life, haha! We deal with it well but the easy part is we come from the same school of thought

TG: If not a fashion designer then what profession would you have chosen?
Sukriti - Vet
Aakriti - Sound engineer
