Rachel Weisz stars in a movie where her character is named Rachel. Now that must be so amazing and liberating, not having to pretend your name is something else for a while. Although, when it comes to actors and actresses, the name is the least of their worries, when it comes to inhabiting someone else’s ‘body’ for a bit. Speaking of bodies, it would seem that the main character in this film can’t seem to take his eyes of his cousin Rachel’s. In My Cousin Rachel, adapted from a book written more than half a century ago, it is this ‘romance’ that intrigues many and infuriates even more people. But, judging by the screaming, the dark scenes in this trailer, there is more to this infatuation than just the wonderful scenery and the obvious outdoor sex that takes place. Since this is set in England, more than a century ago, when people rode horses and in carriages, and ladies wore long flowing gowns, it would seem to be quite a scandal if a man fell in love with his cousin, even as said cousin is apparently under suspicion for killing someone else. (By now you would have guessed that we didn’t even bother to find out what the book was about).
