Although plenty of Indian actors hae been going West recently chief among them being Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone recently and quite a few even expressing their desire to join the bandwagon, there are still some Bollywood actors who have chosen to remain loyal to Indian cinema only. The latest to express his disinterest in Hollywood is John Abraham. “I have been offered films from there (Hollywood) since 2006. The only difference is, I’ve never mentioned it or spoken about it. My aspirations are very simple. I want to make a film out of here that’s world standard, that will make me very happy,” he said recently. Here's a look at some other Bollywood biggies who turned down Hollywood offers

Shah Rukh Khan

Did you know that the Badshah of Bollywood was offered a role in Oscar winning Slumdog Millionarie? The actor was reportedly offered Anil Kapoor's character but he thought that the role was not suited for him and turned it down.

Akshay Kumar

He is well known for his fabulous action stunts so it's no wonder that when a big Hollywood studio was looking for an Asian face to star opposite action star Dwayne Johnson, Akshay Kumar was a natural choice. However the actor believed that he was better off entertaining Indian audience and turned down the offer.

Hrithik Roshan

With his Greek god looks and killer physique, Hrithik Roshan would have little difficulty in fitting right in the Hollywood scene. However the actor has till date resisted taking advantage of his looks and when the role 'Vicente' was offered to Hrithik in the second instalment of The Pink Panther franchise, he turned it down.

Madhuri Dixit

Madhri Dixit Nene was offered the role to play herself in a cameo for a Hollywood film that traced the journey of an American girl who aspires to be a Bollywood actress. However despite the huge pay packet, Madhuri did not consider the offer owing to the length of her role.

Dilip Kumar

Well, looks like Hollywood's obessions with Indian actors is not a recent phenomenon. Dilip Kumar was offered the lead role in international project Lawrence of Arabia in 1962 by director David Lean. The role eventually went to Egyptian actor Omar Sharif.

The actor “ who reprised his role as the former CIA assassin “ said he has no plans to throw his hat into the ring for the role of Bond. “I like Bourne better than Bond. Bourne has today’s values," he said. "Bond has the values of the 1960s. “Daniel [Craig’s] Bond has upgraded him and brought him more into the present, but, classically, that character is a misogynist who likes swilling…
