Kate Winslet, who played Rose in the doomed romantic classic Titanic, has accepted that the character should have saved her lover Jack’s life. In the climax as the ship sinks Jack and Rose find a piece of door floating. Jack helps Rose climb on it but it starts sinking when he tries to fit himself on it. He then decides to save Rose’s life by staying in the cold water, which leads to his death. The ending has bothered ‘Titanic’ fans for nearly 20 years with some of them sharing a theory, saying that Jack could have actually shared the door without it sinking. When TV host Jimmy Kimmel asked Kate Winslet about the theory, the actress said, “I agree! I think he could have actually fitted on that bit of door.
