Kila Raipur village famous for ‘Rural Olympics’ and more recently as Bollywood’s favourite film shoot location is now gearing up to celebrate Dusshera festival, which is being organised in the village since last several decades.
This year about 200 non-resident Indians (NRI) from the village will also be able to see the festival despite being overseas thanks to Kila Raipur’s Facebook page “‘Kila Raipur world famous village’ conceptualised by a village youth Paramjeet Singh Grewal, through which both pictures and live video of the festival will be shared.
Although traditional Ramleela is not organised here but being the only village in the area to organise Dusshera, it remains a cynosure and centre of attraction for one and all from nearby villages. In other words for locals, on the day of festival, all roads lead to Kila Raipur.
