We now live in an age of ecological change that is unprecedented in in the history of the Earth. We are grappling with a slew of converging crises, most of which are the result of human activity and industrialisation. Climate change, natural resource depletion, species extinction, environmental degradation, are some of the problems we have to contend with. Some of these, like climate change, are reaching tipping points beyond which changes become irreversible.

‘Sulimark’ (sustainable lifestyle market) ’ is an attempt to explore and understand the reasons behind the individual alienation, disgruntlement that one might experience as a part of urban lives and also the causes for the larger environmental crises. It is an event by Ease Eco Goa initiatives to promote and create awareness around environmental friendly practices. It is the market place for buyers and sellers to get together and grow sustainably. The vendors are responsible companies or individuals who are producing eco-friendly products and organic foods. The buyers are those who follow sustainable practices. The highlight is the flea market section for economically backward classes or for those who are willing to reuse the items at throw away prices.This Sunday, July 14 look out for - recycled cloth bags, pouches, rice, spices and grains, homemade Goan sweets, jams, pickles, handmade soaps, body care and home care products, eco-friendly cutlery, agriwaste coal, local seeds and plants, biofertilizers, embroideryetc.
The nursery section will have variety of medicinal plants.
