The third edition of Hitguj Series “ II, a program of interaction with celebrities will be held on Monday, November 7 at Kala Academy, Panaji. The artist this month is renowned theatre and film personality Vandana Gupte who will be interviewed by renowned anchor Dr. Ajay VaidyaThe daughter of noted classical singer Manik Verma and Amar Verma, Gupte is the sister of actor Bharati Achrekar and singer Rani Verma. She is specially known for her performances in Marathi plays though she has also acted in television serials and films. She gained recognition and fame through her performances in Marathi Plays like "Shree Tashi Sau", "Wada Chirebandi", "Sundar Mi Honar" by Shri. P. L. Deshpande, "Akhercha Sawaal" by Vijaya Mehta. She has also acted in television serials like "Hya Gojirvanya Gharaat" and "Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo". She has also played the lead role in the Marathi Movies like "Pasant Aahe Mulgi", "Sundar Majhe Ghar", "Maatichya Chuli" and recently "Family Katta".
She has also won prestigious awards like Natya Darpan, Maharashtra Times Sanman, Zee Award, Dinanath Mangeshkar Puraskar etc.
