The second day of the Goa Rhythm and Blues Festival really captured the spirit that the Genesis Foundation envisaged when they decided to create a property that would raise funds for a good cause. The Bangalore based fusion rock band MoonArra kickstarted the evening with some great music, original tunes and ending off with a Goan inspired coda. Then the Goan Seranaders did an impromptu session off stage, getting most of the ladies to shake a leg dressed in their holiday best. But that was just the beginning. Ministry of Blues started to preach the 12 bar and got everyone playing air guitar to a couple great blues tracks. Then The Doors of Perception took over, paying perfect tribute to The Doors by mimicking the electric atmosphere of a The Doors concert. Shilpa Rao rounded up the live acts with some great Hindi rock/pop. Prema Sagar, Nanni Singh and the rest of the Genesis Foundation core team looked quite pleased at the generous turnout. It was a good weekend of philanthropic ideals and great music. Until next time...
