An unidentified falling object from outer space changes our view of humanity and life beyond Earth. As local residents of a Moscow residential district gather to see the fallen object, it forces mankind to question existing civilization and the potential for learning more.
It’s always nice to watch a trailer. It’s even better when we can actually understand what’s going on during one. On tap right now is an English language subtitled trailer for a new Russian film set during an alien invasion entitled Attraction, (or Prityazhenie).
Directed by Fedor Bondarchuk, the flick stars Oleg Menshikov, Alexander Petrov, and Rinal Mukhametov.
And much like the Soviet superhero movie Guardians, which is set to be released in Russia on February 23 and later in the year in North America, Attraction looks really, really pretty, with some nice special effects to boot. Even the design of the alien robot or mechsuit has a very unique look to it. It's made by the same guy who made Stalingrad and will be presented in IMAX 3D (at least in Russia) when it opens. The action really ramps up near the end, and it actually looks impressive. The VFX are better than most Hollywood movies, and the whole thing has an epic feeling to it.
