Tribute to Goa's ace artist

In a step towards restoring the art of one of Goa's distinguished artists Antonio Piedade da Cruz and also as a homage to the man, an art exhibition The Quest for Cruzo curated by cultural theorist and poet Ranjit Hoskote is presently on at Sunaparanta: Goa Centre of Arts, Altinho. The exhibition was inaugurated by eminent writer and scholar, Padma Shri (Dr) Maria Aurora Couto and features 16 of his works along with 21 archival photographs and sketches from various phases of his career.

Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan scheme, the Puducherry government has come up with a whopping 120 crore plan to create public toilets for 55,000 households. However to ensure that people use these public services Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi tweeted out the plan“For those who make use of the public services, Kabali tickets will be given to them for free!
