Broadway Book Publishing House recently conducted a Romi Konkani Course from May 11 to June 11 June at their Broadway Book Centre, Panjim conducted by Jose Salvador Fernandes, a postgraduate in Konkani, writer and teacher. Two students, Ishita Sukhadwala and Nandini Velho participated in the course.“It was a very interesting and fruitful course. I liked the logical analysis of the syntaxes, which I did not come across even while learning English grammar in the school. It is for the first time that I learnt a language scientifically,” said Nandini Velho who was one of the recipients of Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Earth Heroes Awards in 2012.
The focus in this course was to read Romi Konkani with comprehension, basic vocabulary, basic grammar of Romi Konkani and speaking.
