Justice SC Gupte flagged off the anti “ child labour rally at Patto, Panaji on Wednesday. The rally was organised by the Goa State legal services authorities in association with directorate of Women and Child Development, Labour and Employment department and Goa State commission for Protection of Child Rights etc to commemorate ‘World Day against Child Labour’. The objective of the rally was to create an awareness in the society to do away with child labour and cooperate with the stakeholders of child rights to safeguard child rights.
Speaking on the occasion, SC Gupte said that children are our future generation and therefore we have to safeguard their rights. They comprise important segment of the society and therefore there is need to make them to nourish and flourish in a healthy and better atmosphere.
Justice CV Bhadang, Justice Prithviraj K. Chavan, principal district judge, Ershad Agha, registrar Sudhir Deshpande, member secretary Goa State legal services authorities Sayonara Telles Laad, chairperson of welfare committee South Goa, Lida Joao, chairperson of welfare committee Gurunath Dhuri were among those who present on the occasion.
