World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5. The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to review our actions and improve our conduct towards preservation of the environment.
To commemorate World Environment Day in a befitting manner, a tree plantation drive was organized at Deccan Chemicals’ manufacturing site, Santa Monica Works, Corlim.
The Site Head along with the leadership team and employees from various departments participated in this event. A total of 250 trees were planted.
Besides this, many other initiatives and competitions were held at site to reinforce the importance of this day and our contribution towards Mother Nature. The tree plantation drive is organized at Santa Monica site of Deccan Chemicals every year and in the last five years, more than 1000 trees have been planted by the employees at their site at Corlim.
