Ringing in merry times

Ringing in merry times

Vivanta by Taj, Panaji ushered in the festive season with its annual cake mixing ceremony. This ceremony is a centuries old tradition which heralds the beginning of the merry season and this ritual is followed all over the world. At Vivanta, the event was held with much pomp and gaiety to reflect the spirit of the season. A mix of hotel guests, locals, children and the hotel team formed a part of the cake mixing troupe. Donned with Christmas hats, gloves and aprons, the crowd enthusiastically partook in the cake mixing process. The cake mixture included over 100 kilos of nuts and fruits which will be used in baking plum cakes and puddings, a much sought after Christmas treat.
