Amidst a lot of criticism about the casting and allegation of dishonesty and anti-nationalism and despite a clash with another high profile film Kaabil, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees is all set for a box office opening tomorrow. The film was scheduled to be released on Eid, July 6, 2016 but was postponed to avoid box office competition with Salman Khan's Sultan. Directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Gauri Khan. The music of the film is composed by Faizan, Agnel and Ram Sampath. There’s a special appearance by Sunny Leone in the song Laila Main Laila. Set in early 1980s and 90s Gujarat, Raees is a story of a ruthless don named Raees Alam played by Shah Rukh Khan who's bootlegging business is thwarted by a tough policeman Majumdar played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The movie also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan who plays the role of Shah Rukh Khan's onscreen wife. Raees was said to be based on criminal Abdul Latif's life, though the filmmakers deny this, saying "The story of the film is a pure work of fiction, not based on any person; living or dead.” The en route release is well heated up and curiosity to check it out in theatres is quite big.
