Comic-Con attendees will now be able to toast Star Trek's 50th anniversary with a specially made beer. Shmaltz Brewing will introduce the Star Trek Golden Anniversary Ale - The Trouble with Tribbles ahead of Comic-Con International in select stores in San Diego, as well as serving the beer at the screening of Star Trek Beyond. It has been inspired by original Star Trek episode 'The Trouble with Tribbles', which saw the USS Enterprise called to protect a shipment of a genetically engineered four-lobe grain that was a hybrid of wheat and rye. The beer will also be available at select stores in Las Vegas ahead of the Star Trek Las Vegas convention, running August 3-7. But Shmaltz Brewing haven't just boldly gone for one beer. They will also introduce the Voyage To The Northeast Quadrant anniversary ale at Star Trek: Mission New York, taking place at the Javits Center from September 2 to 4.
