J.K. Rowling has just lifted the curtain on one of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them's biggest reveals yet. In the recently released trailer of the film it was revealed that there was a connection between the film's titular character Newt Scamander (played by Redmayne) and Albus Dumbledore when Newt is leaving England as the narrator asks "Now what makes Albus Dumbledore so fond of you, Mr. Scamander?" Rowling then took to Twitter to answer a few questions about the pair's past relationship, admitting, "Albus Dumbledore is fond of Newt Scamander for the same reasons that I am fond of Newt Scamander. You're welcome." And when one Potterhead brought up why Dumbledore couldn't do more to keep Newt in Hogwarts' hallowed halls, she replied, "Dumbledore was a young teacher at the time Newt was expelled. He wasn't able to revoke expulsions."
