If the Goan summer sun didn’t give you a burn, the hot and spicy wings and chilli dog at the Goan Foodie Hogathon surely will.
The Goan Foodie has come a long way in the hospitality and culinary industry and invites you to the Sunday Hogathon ‘toungueBurn’ challenge where eight challengers will battle the heat of the hottest chili in the world, the habernero by downing a bucket of 12 spicy wings and chili dog laden with this chilli at 12 noon in the hottest month of the Goan summer to win the title and prize.
So how hot is the habernaro? Habanero peppers range in Scovilles from 60,000 SHU to 800,000 SHU, making them some of the hottest chili peppers around. Around 76 times hotter than an average jalapeño, with the potential for some crazy heat difference of nearly 140 times hotter when you compare the mildest jalapeño to the hottest possible habanero. So if you've got the gut, we've got the spice. There will be loads of spot contests for the audience, the diners, and the foodies.
The contest will be held in two parts. Challenge 1: Down a bucket of our spicy wings with chilled Kingfisher beer. Challenge 2: Gobble our flaming ‘Chilli dog’ with All that’s Good Mexican Nachos.
