At one point when a councillor suggested implementing pay parking along the Channekar lane, opposite Canara bank, the MMC chairperson said it could not be done as the place was uneven and GSUDA was supposed to develop the area. r“When GSUDA will start the work and when they will finish it, nobody knows,” Kavlekar snapped when one of the councillors questioned when GSUDA would complete its work. rNot the one to take things lying down, former chairperson Sandip Falari questioned the chairperson on what stopped him from collecting pay-parking fees from vehicle owners who continued to park their vehicles there. r“Don’t get excited.
