When was the last time you laughed your guts out? Try it tonight at ‘The Laugh-A-Thon: A Seriously Funny Comedy Marathon’ which is being held at Sinq Beach Club in Sinquerim. The line-up includes some of the top comedians of Indian origin from across the globe namely, Abijit Ganguly (India )Vasu Primlani (U.S.A), Azeem Banatwalla (India) and Priya Malik (Australia).
Priya Malik was born and brought up in Dehradun, India. Malik graduated in English Honours from Delhi University and was teaching at in Australia before entering the Big Brother show on the continent. She writes poetry and was the South Australia State Finalist for the Australian Poetry Slam in September 2013.
Abijit Ganguly is one of the few bi-lingual stand-up comedians in our country who is equally comfortable in both English and Hindi. His solid corporate and educational background (alumnus of Delhi School of Economics and ex-Deloitte Consulting) ensures he connects to the highly qualified corporate junta and his Delhi upbringing makes sure that his content resonates with the masses.
Vasu Primlani is one of the most prominent social entrepreneurs and comedians in the United States and India. She grew up in Delhi, and received a Masters degree from UCLA in Geography, Urban Planning and Law. She has conducted numerous workshops, training, and speeches for the environmental and business communities in the US and India.
Azeem Banatwalla is an engineer-turned-writer-turned comedian. He has extensive experience writing for print and digital media, having worked with National Geographic Traveller India and The Man Magazine. As a stand-up artist, he’s regarded as one of India’s best.
